My Magical Moment

In summer, I went to Connecticut to meet my relatives. I visited many places like New York, Washington D.C. The most magical moment was when I saw the President of United States, Barack Obama, near the White House.

From our hotel, we drove all the way to the State Capital. We saw it and were thrilled. We went to the Washington Monument. From the Washington Monument, we went to the Lincoln Memorial and we also went to the Jefferson’s Memorial. We were all really tired after the long trip. We went to the Air and Space Museum. Our last place to visit was the White House. While I was walking, sweat dripped from my forehead. At last, we were in front of the White House.

When I got my camera, I started clicking some pictures of the White House. I zoomed in to take a close picture of the security guards standing in front of the White House. At that very moment, I saw 2 big black cars pulling up in front of the White House and out came the President of the United States, Barack Obama. I couldn’t believe my eyes and I immediately   gave the camera to my brother to see if he could see what I was seeing. To my surprise, my brother yelled, “Yes, I see the President of the United States.” I was thrilled so I grabbed the camera from him and again saw the President of the United States through the zoomed lens. That was my magical moment.

I was so excited and thrilled that I started jumping around with joy. My brother and I also started calling all our friends on the phone and excitedly told them that we saw the President of the United States, Barack Obama. Everyone was so thrilled and happy for us.

Seeing Barack Obama is my most magical moment.

My Magical Moment

This may not sound logical
But to me, going to a basketball camp is magical
I thoroughly enjoyed every moment
And was rewarded with a compliment

It all started with an amazing flyer
Making the camp details clear
I asked my Mom, with little fear
And she replied, “Ask your Dad, dear!!”

I told my dad the matter
He said he will let me know later
One fine morning, on my way to school
My dad gave me good news, which was extremely cool

On hearing it, I almost fell out of my seat
And could literally hear my heart beat
Day by day, my excitement grew
And finally my dream came true

My first day was so much fun
We played and played until we were all done
We had snack break and lunch break too
After we ate, I was ready to ‘tighten up my shoe’

By the end of the day I was so excited
Jumping around and shaking hands. Oh! I was so delighted!!
After going home, I was eager for the next day’s play
And found out that my sister was making a basketball out of clay!

On the final day of the camp
I got to meet an NBA champ
He showed us a bunch of tricks
It looked like he could jump over a wall of bricks!

I asked him for his autograph
But to my surprise, he also gave me his photograph
I couldn’t believe my eyes!
And found his gesture very nice

Interacting with the NBA champ was my magical moment
And I wish the memory will always stay permanent.
